The Phelps Arts Center is proud to serve as an official stop on the Phelps BDTC Kraut Krawl! Kraut Krawl participants are invited to stop in, enjoy a drink and snack sample, and explore the Historic Phelps Sauerkraut Gallery in collaboration with Phelps Community Historical Society.
Step back in time and learn more about the rich history of Phelps as the one-time largest producer of sauerkraut in the world. Explore historic photographs, past Sauerkraut Weekend themes, vintage recipes, community memories, and more as we celebrate the traditions that continue to shape our hometown because cabbage culture and sauerkraut heritage are truly a work of art.

Take a stroll, tell us about your favorites, and celebrate one of Phelps’ favorite quirky time honored traditions.
