Rebekah Wachob
The visionary at the helm — setting the course, holding the compass, and making sure the ship knows why it's sailing. Where others see a blank canvas, the President sees possibility, and leads the organization toward it.
A Midlakes alumni and Owner/Founder of Wachob Financial LLC, Beki brings the precision of an MBA and the heart of a performer. Classically trained in Piano from the Eastman School of Music and Hochstein Music School, and bringing her background in Ballet, Tap, and Vocals to the stage at the Phelps Clifton Springs Community Theater, she knows that meaningful art and sound finances require both vision and discipline.

Hannah Williams
The bridge between vision and action, stepping in wherever the work needs a steady hand and a clear voice. The Vice President helps connect people with clarity and care.
Hannah holds an MPA and serves as a community coordinator for the Phelps Business Development and Tourism Council, and is a proud member of Leadership Ontario Cohort 3. She believes in dreamers and supporting ideas, connecting resources, and opening doors for a community that truly sees its artists.
Vice President
The Treasurer keeps a careful eye on the organization's financial health, ensuring every resource is tracked, accounted for, and put to good use. Responsible stewardship of the budget means the work of the artists can continue with confidence.
Executive Director of the Phelps Community Center for 16 years, Janie founded and continues to lead their performing arts programming, including youth theatre and a dance studio serving all ages. With 28 years of experience in Dance, Tap remains her favorite genre and deepest joy. Beyond her professional roles she finds inspiration and appreciation for the arts in live music, live theater, and traveling.

The memory of the organization. The Secretary is present at every meeting and every milestone, capturing decisions and keeping the records ensuring that nothing is lost and everything that matters is preserved.
A portrait photographer by passion, Michelle’s artistic life extends into writing poetry and prose, and digital painting. She participates in musical theater with the Phelps Clifton Springs Community Theatre, where she also volunteers with the crew. She brings her lens to the Midlakes Theatre Experience as a volunteer photographer. For her, capturing a moment and preserving a story are the same act.

Charlie King
The steward of the physical space that makes everything else possible, ensuring the building remains a safe, functional, and welcoming home for the arts.
Treasurer and Technical Director of the Phelps Clifton Springs Community Theatre, Charlie is the person who makes the magic reality, from the bones of the set to the integrity of the foundation that hold the whole production together. When he’s not building sets he can be found lovingly restoring vintage Model A Fords, proof that dedicated craft, whether on stage or in the garage, is always worth the effort.

Building & Facilities Committee
The Building & Facilities Committee works to preserve, improve, and care for the Phelps Arts Center and its grounds. Committee members oversee building maintenance, renovations, landscaping, cleaning, repairs, and long-term improvement projects while helping create a welcoming, safe, and inspiring environment for visitors, artists, volunteers, and staff. Their dedication ensures the historic property remains a beautiful space for creativity and community gatherings.
Events Committee
The Events Committee brings the Phelps Arts Center to life by planning and coordinating a diverse calendar of programs and special events throughout the year. Committee members collaborate with local artists, performers, instructors, vendors, and community partners to create engaging experiences that inspire creativity and connection. From exhibitions and workshops to concerts, festivals, and family activities, the Events Committee creates a welcoming place for local artists and our community.
Fundraising & Grants Committee
The Fundraising & Grants Committee helps secure the financial support that allows the Phelps Arts Center to thrive. They pursue grant opportunities, cultivate relationships with donors and sponsors, organize fundraising initiatives, and develop strategies that expand community investment in the Phelps Arts Center's mission. Their efforts make it possible to offer exhibitions, educational programs, performances, and special events for the community.
Finance & Compliance Committee
The Finance & Compliance Committee provides financial oversight and helps ensure the Phelps Arts Center operates responsibly and transparently. This committee manages budgets, financial reporting, banking relationships, treasury functions, and organizational compliance while supporting sound financial planning for the future. Their work helps safeguard the Arts Center's resources and supports its long-term sustainability.
Marketing Committee
The Marketing Committee is responsible for sharing the story of the Phelps Arts Center with our community. Through graphic design, photography, social media, email newsletters, print materials, radio announcements, press releases, and other public communications, this committee promotes events, celebrates artists, and keeps the public informed about everything happening. Their work helps strengthen community engagement, increase attendance, and ensure the Phelps Arts Center remains a vibrant gathering place for community artists.
